The Great Frame Up in the Promenade Shops at Centerra is pleased to present Becky Everitt as the featured artist for the month of August. 

Becky’s work will be on display at the Great Frame Up during the month of August. Come and meet Becky on Aug 7, 2:00pm – 4:00pm at the opening reception. Refreshments will be served.

Artist Statement

My early discovery of art and my love of drawing and painting has led me
down many paths as an artist and art teacher. I attended CSU earning a B.A.
Degree in Art Education. After many teaching experiences in areas of the west, I
now devote full time to exploring different areas and ideas in art.

I paint in all mediums but watercolor has been my favorite for many years.

My work is well known by the vibrant colors of high mountain peaks with bright flower meadows and the tumbling waters of the Rockies I love so much.

I believe every artist should continue to seek out and grow in new
directions. This is the “call to creativity”. I also work in acrylic and have fallen in
love with pastels recently, working in the “pleine air” method. Being outdoors
allows much greater color perception and depth in the work.

I have received many commissions of “House Portraits and Gardens” which
bring great satisfaction. I accept special projects at any time.

A recent trip to the Hawaiian Islands has inspired a total new direction of
ideas in painting. The brilliant colors of floral mysteries and crystal blue waters
have become a siren song for calling my creative spirit to action. My desire is to bring the beauty of the world to viewers of my paintings and create a sense of peacefulness through my work.
