Loveland Colorado

The Youth Orchestra of the Rockies, under the leadership of Thomas Blomster, opens its season in Loveland and Fort Collins on November 14 and 15, 2009.  The program will include Tchaikovsky Symphony #4, The Magic Flute Overture by Mozart, and works by Aaron Copland.

Date: November 15, 2009  Time: 4 pm Place:  Griffin Concert Hall, UCA, 1400 Remington Fort Collins

Tickets: $10 per person, $5 for students and seniors.  Children under 5 free. Tickets may be purchased at door

The Youth Orchestra of the Rockies, a not-for-profit corporation formed in 1995, is comprised of musicians up to age 22 from northern Colorado and southern Wyoming.  YOR’s mission:  “Through the study and performance of orchestral music, the Youth Orchestra of the Rockies seeks to challenge and nurture young musicians to strive for excellence, to explore their role in humanity, and to contribute beauty to the community.”  To accomplish this mission, YOR offers many levels of participation for young musicians.
